Dear Gary,
You may recall that you very kindly agreed to treat my cat, Vanille, during the Naet training seminar in Juan les Pins on May 13th. I don't know how to thank you enough for doing so, because she has made a miraculous recovery and is still doing well.
Cat's name: VANILLE
Age: 14 years old
On April 25th she was diagnosed with chronic kidney failure by the vet, who told me that she only had a few weeks or maximum a few months left to live. After 24 hours on an intravenous drip at the vet her blood levels were as follows:
April 25th 2007
UREA > 2.730 g/L (off the scale of the testing machine)
CREA = 112.0 g/L (normal levels given as between 8.0 and 24.0)
On May 13th when I brought her to NAET, she had lost a great deal of weight, was eating only a few mouthfuls of food per day, was not drinking or grooming herself, had very bad smelling breath and some black fluid running out of her eyes.
Gary tested the cat with me as a surrogate, and concluded that the kidney problem was emotional, and said that the emotion associated with kidneys was fear. The cat had not had any emotional shock recently, but I indeed had.
In early March, with no warning, my brother had a breakdown and disappeared one night with the intention of committing suicide. Very fortunately he did not, and returned to his family. It was a big shock to me, and I was very afraid for him for several days. In the weeks that followed, I also became afraid that other people close to me may also be concealing signs of a breakdown and have suicidal thoughts.
VANILLE had been slowly losing weight, probably for at least a month before the diagnosis on April 25th. As she was poorly, I would lie down on the couch and she would come and spend a lot of time curled up on my left shoulder with her head on my heart. We did this several times a day as I thought it was comforting for her. Gary pointed out that the cat was actually trying to comfort me. She was acting like a sponge and soaking up my fear. She was so toxic by this point that she could not eat.
Gary tested VANILLE for her urine (I brought cat litter with her urine on it), and also I think for amino acids. I did not have any of her food with me. Gary then treated her through me for the urine, and he also treated me. That was on May 13th around 2pm.
The next day at 12pm, VANILLE got up and started eating some dry food that was out for my other cat. At 3pm, once the 25 hours were up, I put down some wet food and she ate it all. In the days that followed, she began grooming herself, eating, and drinking a little water.
Her bad breath cleared up and she only occasionally has dark crusts under her eyes. She is eating well now and has gained weight, although she only weighs 2.5 kg today.
I gave her Bach flowers: Rescue remedy and Aspen (for unknown fear), whilst I myself took Rescue, Aspen and Red Chestnut (for fear of bad things happening to loved one).
She also received a daily sub-cutaneous drip with Ringers Lactate solution, about 80 ml a day + Fortekor (half a tablet a day).
On June 14th 2007 her blood levels were :
UREA = 0.493 g/L (normal being between 0.336 and 0.756)
CREA = 35.0 g/L (normal being between 8.0 and 24.0)
On June 25th, after stopping the Ringers solution for 8 days:
UREA = 0.623 g/L
CREA = 38.3 g/L
so a slight decline. We will do more blood tests in about a week to see if this stabilises.
Without NAET, I know that Vanille would not be with us today. She has just jumped up here on my desk next to my computer (something she was incapable of doing before Gary treated her), to add her thanks to mine in this message! We hope that her story will be helpful, as it clearly illustrates the impressive and immediate effectiveness of NAET.
With many thanks and best regards,
Suzanne Kobine
